Afghan pilots escaped to Uzbekistan are flown to the United States

Afghan pilots who took refuge in Uzbekistan after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan are set to be transferred to US military bases.
The United States and Uzbekistan have agreed to transfer a group of Afghan pilots who have taken refuge in the country with their families to a US military base, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources.
According to the newspaper, the Taliban has pressured Uzbekistan to return the pilots to Afghanistan.
A group of Afghan pilots and their family members have reportedly fled to Uzbekistan on military planes since the fall of the previous government.
