The United Nations is providing $ 45 million to health section in Afghanistan

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said in a statement that $ 45 million would help prevent the collapse of the health system in Afghanistan.
According to the organization, the aid is funded by the United Nations Emergency Relief Fund.
Martin Griffiths, the UN Under-Secretary-General, said today that the aid would be used by the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to protect Afghanistan’s health facilities.
He added that the salaries of health workers in Afghanistan have not been paid and that medicine and fuel are running out in the country.
