More than 20,000 health workers are out of work in Afghanistan

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies has warned that the health system in Afghanistan is collapsing and that more than 2,000 health centers have been closed since the start of recent developments in the country.

People may agree to work without pay for a few more weeks; “But when the medicine is completely gone, they close the doors if you do not have anything to give to someone who comes to your clinic.”

He also said that more than 2,000 health centers have been closed in the country and about 20,000 health workers are no longer working, about 7,000 of whom are women.
