The Pakistani Taliban have rejected talks with the Pakistani government over a ceasefire and ordered their fighters to continue their attacks.

A spokesman for the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has denied that they are in talks with the Pakistani government over a ceasefire, and has instructed the group’s fighters to continue their attacks.

Meanwhile, Hafiz Bahadur, a member of the Pakistani Taliban, called on his men to ceasefire in South Waziristan until October 20, according to the Pakistan Geo Network.

Pakistani Taliban reject talks with Pakistani Government Earlier, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said in an interview with Turkish media that talks between the Pakistani government and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had begun with the mediation of the Taliban in Afghanistan.

He also said that if the Pakistani Taliban laid down their arms and surrendered to the government, they would be forgiven and could continue to live like ordinary citizens.
