Uzbek President talked with US Deputy Secretary of State on Afghanistan

The President of Uzbekistan spoke with the US Deputy Secretary of State about the current situation in Afghanistan.
The State Department of US said in a statement that Uzbek President Shaukat Mir Ziaev had discussed the current and future situation in Afghanistan with US Undersecretary of State Wendy Sherman.
According to the newsletter, in this interview, the US Deputy Secretary of State praised Uzbekistan’s cooperation with the United States in Afghanistan and called for progress in the areas of economy, democracy and human rights reform in Uzbekistan.
The two sides also expressed concern about the fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban.
