Taliban agreement with Iran to improve economic relations between the two countries

Taliban officials announced an economic agreement with Iran aimed at improving economic relations between the two countries.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid yesterday announced the group’s 16-article economic agreement with Iran, according to which a gas pipeline will be built to facilitate the transfer of liquefied natural gas from Iran to Afghanistan at the port of Dugharun to Islam Qala.

According to the agreement, the port of Dogharun-Islam-Qala will continue to operate 24 hours a day, and Iran is committed to scientific measures to expand and improve the Dugharun-Islam-Qala road.

It has also been agreed between Iran and Afghanistan that the construction of a gas pipeline from Dugharun to Islam Qala to transport liquefied natural gas from Iran to Afghanistan will begin soon, and that a delegation from the Taliban will travel to Iran for this purpose.
