Taliban to Iran: Afghan territory will not be used against Iran

Taliban officials have assured Iranian officials that there will be no threat from Afghanistan to Iran.

Maulvi Shir Ahmad Ammar, the Taliban’s deputy governor in Herat, made the remarks while delivering Iran’s fourth shipment of humanitarian aid, saying the group would not allow ISIS to pose a threat to Iran.

“The Taliban abide by all international and neighborhood laws and will never allow individuals or groups like ISIS to use Afghan territory against Iran,” he added.

Meanwhile, another shipment of Iranian humanitarian aid arrived in Afghanistan yesterday.
