A Taliban member was targeted by a landmine in Nangarhar

Sources in Nangarhar province say a Taliban member was killed in a bomb blast in the Chaparhar district of the province.

The source, who did not want to be named, said the blast was caused by a mine planted in a Taliban Ranger vehicle, killing one Taliban member and wounding another.

According to this source, the person killed in this incident was Qari Fayyaz, the deputy district governor of Rudat district of Nangarhar.

Official sources have not yet commented on the incident, and no group has also claimed responsibility for the attack.
