Hundreds of Afghan refugees were transferred from Germany to the United States

Hundreds of Afghan refugees have been transferred to the United States from an air base in Germany, US officials say.
Hundreds of Afghan refugees were flown to the United States from Remstein Air Force Base in Germany on Saturday, officials said, according to VOA.
Gen. Joss Olsen, a military official at the base, said the migrants who were staying at the base had gone through the coronary stage of the coronavirus and were still being vaccinated against pus and measles.
“After a young child contracted measles and was already quarantined, we were able to vaccinate them against pus, measles and mumps,” the military official added.
Meanwhile, US military officials say about 34,000 Afghan refugees have been evacuated on 140 flights from Kabul airport to Rammstein base in Germany in August.
