Islamic Republic Newspaper: Iran’s aid reaches the Taliban, not the needy

The Jomhuri Eslami newspaper reports that the Taliban are using Iran’s humanitarian aid to Afghanistan at will and that it is not reaching those in need.

So far, Iran has delivered five shipments of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, including food, health, oxygen balloons and other essentials.

According to reports, four consignments of this aid were transported to Afghanistan by land and one consignment by air.

The Islamic Republic Newspaper, which is close to the Iranian government, wrote about how the aid was used: “They are consumed and do not reach the real needy.”

“The dominance of the Taliban terrorist group in Afghanistan and the problems it has created for the people have deprived the people of a normal and permanent life,” the newspaper added.

The Taliban have not yet commented on the report.
