Qatari officials have announced the transfer of the American University of Afghanistan to Qatar

Qatari ambassador to Afghanistan Mashal bin Hamad Al-Thani wrote on his Twitter page that the American University of Afghanistan is to be moved to Doha, the capital of Qatar.

He added that Afghan students could then continue their education in Doha.

The American University of Afghanistan was one of the most prestigious universities in the country, which was established in 2016.
