PRESIDENT OF PAKISTAN: Welfare in the region depends on peace in Afghanistan

The President of Pakistan has linked prosperity in the region to peace in Afghanistan and expressed hope that an inclusive government will be established in the country.
In an interview with Gulf News, Pakistani President Aref Alavi said that peace in Afghanistan is an opportunity for countries around the world to connect with Central Asia through the war-torn country.
He added that instability in Afghanistan was causing more refugees to enter Pakistan.
“We do not want any instability in our neighboring country and we hope to see an inclusive government that represents all political stakeholders,” he added.
Alavi added that the country only cooperates with the Taliban in the humanitarian field and is not an active player in Afghanistan.
