A civil activist was assassinated by unknown individuals in Nangarhar

Sources in Nangarhar say a civil activist has been assassinated by unknown individuals in the provincial capital.

The sources named the assassinated man as Abdul Rahman, and said that he was assassinated by unknown gunmen today at around 12 o’clock in the fourth district of Jalalabad city, the capital of Nangarhar province.

The assailants are said to have fled the area after the assassination of the civil activist.

So far, no one or group has claimed responsibility for the assassination.

The Taliban have not yet commented.

However, since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, Nangarhar province has witnessed more assassinations and bombings.
