Brake-Peshawar Railway Project The focus of talks between the Taliban delegation and Uzbek officials

The Taliban delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister Taliban Abdul Salam Hanafi, met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan during a visit to Uzbekistan to discuss the Peshawar-Brake railway project.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban’s deputy minister of information and culture and a spokesman for the group, said in a statement that the two sides talked about co-operate in the trade, fuel and raw materials development, transit facilities for Afghan traders, the 500kV Sarkhan-Pul-e-Khumri power transmission, the health sector and the brake railway – Mazar-e-Sharif – Kabul – Bashavar.
He added that in connection with the Peshawar brake railway project, joint working teams have been formed between the two sides in many fields, and the plan and way of cooperation will be completed in the next ten days and will be presented to the leaders of the two countries for decision.
However, Uzbek officials have described the Brake-Mazar-e-Sharif-Kabul-Peshawar railway project as one of the largest in Uzbek history.
