Taliban officials announced Kazakhstan’s promise to provide 5,000 tonnes of flour to Afghanistan.
Naim Wardak, a spokesman for the Taliban’s political bureau in Qatar, said that Arjan Karikhanov, the special envoy of the Kazakh president, had promised that his country would donate 5,000 tonnes of flour to Afghanistan during a meeting with Mullah Baradar, the Taliban’s deputy prime minister.
According to Wardak, the two sides also discussed political issues and further cooperation between the two countries.
However, on Sunday, the Special Representative of the President of Kazakhstan also met with Amir Khan Mottaki, Acting Foreign Minister of the Taliban, and discussed the resumption of economic and trade cooperation between the two sides.
