Acting Taliban Defense Minister: We are trying to prepare an army with advanced weapons

Mullah Yaqub, the acting defense minister of the Taliban government, says the ministry is working to build an army equipped with advanced weapons.

“We are trying to prepare the army with advanced weapons,” he said. We also have a strong air force next to the ground army. “I assure all Afghans that this will be an army you will be proud of and still a true servant to the Afghan people.”

On the other hand, he said in an audio message that no one can use Afghanistan’s borders against other countries and that the officials of the Ministry of Defense and its staff are doing their job properly.
