The first joint Turkish-Azerbaijani media summit was held in Istanbulر

The first joint Turkish-Azerbaijani media meeting within the framework of the Turkish Council Media Assembly hosted by the Presidential Communications Office on “Rooted Past, Strong Future” was attended by delegations consisting of media officials and communication institutions of the two countries. It was chaired by Fakhreddin Alton, Director of Presidential Communications, and Hekmat Hajiyev, Vice President of Azerbaijan, in Istanbul.
During the meeting, issues such as increasing cooperation and coordination in the fields of traditional media, digital media, strategic communications and public diplomacy, and joint struggle against misinformation were discussed with the aim of developing friendly relations between the two countries in the field of communications.
“The Joint Media Platform was formalized with the” Memorandum of Understanding between Turkey and Azerbaijan on Strategic Media Cooperation “signed on December 10, 2020, Fakhreddin Alton said at the meeting. “The two presidents also called the move a very valuable step towards institutionalizing relations between the two countries in the field of media and communications.”
Hekmat Hajiyev, on the other hand, said in a speech: “The cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan, which led to the victory of Nagorno-Karabakh, has also been demonstrated in the field of communications.”ر
