Mujahid: No diplomats have been sent to Pakistan by the Islamic Emirate

The Taliban have denied reports that the group’s government has sent a diplomat to the embassy and some Afghan consulates in Pakistan.
Taliban government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said no diplomacy had been sent by the Islamic Emirate to the Afghan embassy and consulate in Pakistan.
Earlier, Pakistani media reported that Sardar Mohammad Shakib had been appointed by the Taliban government as Afghanistan’s Ambassador in Islamabad.
However, some senior Taliban sources also confirmed the news, saying that since the Pakistani government does not recognize the group, Mohammad Shakib will not have the official title of ambassador and will only be in charge of the embassy.
