German Special Representative for Afghanistan travels to Kabul for talks with Taliban

German media reported the visit of Markus Potzel, the German Special Representative for Afghanistan, to Kabul to hold talks with the Taliban.
According to the daily Welt am Zoltag, the German Special Representative for Afghanistan is scheduled to visit Afghanistan in the coming days to discuss the reopening of the German embassy and consulate in Afghanistan and the return of German diplomats.
According to the newspaper, Mr. Putzel will also discuss with the Taliban the issue of issuing visas to Afghan citizens who have cooperated with German forces in Afghanistan.
However, after taking control of Afghanistan, the Taliban announced that they would provide security for the diplomatic missions of all countries and called on them to resume relations with Afghanistan.
