Pakistani Ambassador to Kabul: There is a possibility of military action by the Afghan Taliban against the Pakistani Taliban

The Pakistani ambassador in Kabul says that if the peace talks with the Pakistani Taliban fail, the Afghan Taliban will take military action.
Mansour Ahmad Khan, Pakistan’s ambassador to Kabul, told a Pakistani media outlet that if peace talks between Islamabad and the Pakistani Taliban failed, the Afghan Taliban would take military action against them.
“I cannot confirm or deny the reports of talks between Pakistan and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP),” he said, stressing that engagement with the Pakistani Taliban should take place within the framework of counter-terrorism efforts and strategies agreed upon by the two sides.
“The Taliban-led government has assured us that it will not allow any group to use Afghan territory against Pakistan,” he added.
The Islamabad government has reportedly agreed to a one-month ceasefire with the Pakistani Taliban after peace talks mediated by Sirajuddin Haqqani, the acting interior minister of the Afghan Taliban.
