Taliban spokesman: The formation of the Islamic Army will be completed in two years

Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban’s deputy minister of intelligence and spokesman, said they were looking to form an Islamic army that would be completed in two years.

Emphasizing that 100,000 or more armies are needed to maintain Afghanistan’s security and independence, Mujahid said: “The number of members is not yet known, but certainly the Afghan security forces need 100,000 or more to maintain the country’s security and independence. has it.”

He added that former army soldiers, especially those with technical experience, will be included in the new army.

Earlier, the Mujahideen had said that most of the former government soldiers were addicted and did not even know how to fight.

Emphasizing that former soldiers with technical experience can return to their duties, he said that soldiers without technical experience could not be recruited to the army of the Islamic Emirate.
