World Health Organization: $ 378 million needed to keep Afghanistan’s health centers active

World Health Organization (WHO) officials have called on the international community to provide $ 378 million in aid to Afghanistan.
Officials say they are working to keep 2,331 health centers in Afghanistan active.
“We are working with other donors, such as the World Bank, the European Union and other donors, to establish, in addition to the 2,331 health centers, Corona treatment centers,” Dr. Jamshid, the WHO Coordinator in Afghanistan, told the media. “Let’s keep it active.”
“So far, $ 378 million in aid to the health sector has been finalized to prevent a humanitarian crisis,” he added. “We promise to do this soon to attract more donors by convincing people.”
Many UN agencies have warned of a humanitarian catastrophe in Afghanistan, saying thousands of lives could be threatened with death if humanitarian aid is not sent to the country immediately.
