Massoud Andarabi: The people of Afghanistan know that the Taliban do not believe in the fundamental rights of women
The interior minister of the former Afghan government says that the Taliban do not believe in the fundamental rights of women and that the group’s new order on women is propaganda and deception of the world community.
Former Afghan Interior Minister Massoud Andarabi wrote on his Twitter page that the Afghan people know that the Taliban do not believe in women’s fundamental rights and that women’s rights and freedoms are not limited to the right to marry and choose a spouse.
He added that the entire order issued by the Taliban to women reflects their incomplete understanding of women’s rights.
Meanwhile, on Friday, Mullah Hebatullah, the Taliban leader, issued a decree to ensure the rights of women, which states in one clause that women are not property but free and noble human beings, and no one can give it in exchange for (bad) peace.
However, the decree does not mention women’s right to education, education and employment.
