The Ministry of Finance allocated a monthly salary of 228,000 Afghanis to the Taliban leader

Finance Ministry officials say a monthly salary of 228,000 afghanis has been set for Taliban leader Mullah Hebatullah.

Ahmad Wali Haqmal, a spokesman for the Ministry of Finance, said the ministry had allocated 228,750 afghanis, or about $ 2,400 a month, to Taliban leader Mullah Hebatullah.

He added that the monthly salary of the Taliban prime minister is 198,250 afghanis and the monthly salary set for ministers is 137,250 afghanis.

Emphasizing that there was injustice in the distribution of salaries in the previous government, he added that the monthly salary of Taliban governors was set at 91,500 Afghanis.
