The value of the national currency against the dollar reached its lowest level in two decades and today in the Kabul currency market one US dollar is exchanged at 109 afghanis.

Sarai Shahzadeh, Kabul’s largest foreign exchange market, announced today (Sunday, 12 Dec) that a US dollar has been exchanged for 109 Afghani in this market.

However, the devaluation of the national currency against the dollar has a direct impact on the price of raw materials in the market because imported materials are bought in dollars outside Afghanistan.
