Central Bank: Efforts are underway to prevent the depreciation of the Afghani against foreign currency

The Central Bank of Afghanistan (CBA) has issued a statement today saying that efforts are underway to reduce the fall of the Afghan currency against foreign currencies and currency fluctuations that are undermining the purchasing power of the people.

On the other hand, Sarai Shahzadeh Money Changers’ Union is scheduled to meet with officials of the Taliban government central bank to discuss the stability of the Afghan exchange rate against foreign currencies.

The central bank is announcing efforts to stabilize the value of the national currency against foreign currencies, with the US dollar trading at 125 afghanis in recent days in the country’s markets, which has led to an unprecedented rise in commodity prices.
