Turkmen humanitarian aid arrived in Herat and Faryab

A humanitarian aid was delivered from Turkmenistan to neighboring Afghanistan, which included food, textiles and household goods, as well as petroleum products.

The aid was handed over to Shir Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai, the Taliban’s Deputy Foreign Minister, in the presence of the Ambassador and Consul General of the Consulate of Turkmenistan in Mazar-e-Sharif and the Deputy Foreign Minister.

Turkmen officials say the aid includes hundreds of tonnes of liquefied natural gas, fuel, clothing and foodstuffs sent to meet the needs of the Afghan people.

Turkmenistan is sending aid to the Afghan people as President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov recently called on the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to help Afghanistan’s people.

It is noteworthy that Turkmenistan has already sent another shipment of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
