Passport distribution process will resume tomorrow in Kabul

The head of the Taliban Passport Department says that the process of distributing passports in Kabul will resume tomorrow (Sunday) and with the beginning of this process, 7,000 passports will be distributed per day.
Alam Gol Haqqani, the acting head of the Taliban Passport, made the remarks at a news conference in Kabul today.
Haqqani noted that about 400 million afghanis had been transferred to the government treasury since the distribution of passports, adding that passports would be distributed to Taliban members and forces on Thursdays and that “Mujahideen comrades would arrive on Thursdays.”
He also stressed that passport applicants who have a provincial identity card can apply for a passport at the passport distribution offices in their provinces, adding that old passport forms are no longer issued.
Haqqani also called on the authorities and health centers not to give advice to anyone, and urged citizens not to give money to the centers.
Meanwhile, passport distribution centers in Kabul were previously closed to passport applicants for some time due to lack of equipment.
