Uzbekistan sends team to repair Mazar-e-Sharif airfield equipment

The special envoy of the President of Uzbekistan says that his country has sent a team to repair the equipment of Mazar-e-Sharif airport in Balkh province.

A special team from the country has arrived in Balkh to repair equipment at Mazar-e-Sharif airport and will start work soon, said Esmatullah Argashev, special envoy of the Uzbek president.

Stressing that the team will be completed by early next year, he added that Uzbekistan would continue to support the Afghan people.

Meanwhile, according to Mazar-e-Sharif airport officials, the equipment of this airport has been damaged after the recent developments.
