The United States issued three licenses to facilitate the delivery of aid to Afghanistan

The US Treasury Department yesterday issued three new public permits aimed at facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Afghan people.
“The United States is the largest provider of humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan,” the ministry said in a statement. “We are committed to supporting the people of Afghanistan, so the Ministry of Finance is taking these additional steps to facilitate the delivery of aid.”
Two of these licenses allow the United States and the United Nations to deal with the Taliban and the Haqqani network, and a third license imposes sanctions exemptions on NGOs involved in humanitarian projects in Afghanistan.
