Civil Aviation Authority: The first nationwide radar was ready for installation in Kabul

The Afghan Civil Aviation Authority announced that the first nationwide radar base is ready to install in Kabul.
A statement issued today by the agency said that the first consignment of radars containing radar tripods arrived in Afghanistan from France and was delivered to the Ministry of Transport and Aviation at Kabul International Airport.
The agency added that the installation of radar devices nationwide worth 112 million euros has been contracted with the French company Thales and according to this contract, it will be installed in Kabul, Balkh and Herat provinces in stages.
According to the agency, before the end of 2023, these 12 radar sites with airspace control system will be installed and operated in 12 points of Afghanistan.
