Taliban to Afghan refugees: Return home and work alongside the Islamic Emirate

The Taliban’s deputy foreign minister called on those who had left Afghanistan to return home.

During a visit to Paktika province, Shir Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai, the Taliban’s deputy foreign minister, said that the weak were stronger than the strong, adding that Afghanistan had been liberated from foreign occupation and that the Islamic system had taken root in the country.

Emphasizing that the Islamic Emirate has declared a general amnesty and adheres to its decision, he called on those who have migrated outside Afghanistan to return home and work with the Taliban.

However, with the Taliban taking control, thousands of Afghans who were somehow employed in the previous government left Afghanistan for fear of losing their lives.
