The Taliban are trying to finalize a way for women and girls to work and study in Herat

The head of Taliban information and culture in Herat province says the Islamic Emirate is working to finalize a process to ensure women’s right to education, training and employment.
According to the Bakhtar state news agency, Naeemul Haq Haqqani, the Taliban’s director of information and culture in Herat, said in a meeting with the UN Under-Secretary-General for Human Rights in the province that a framework for women’s education and employment will soon be established
He said that Islam, as a complete religion, gave women the right to study and work.
However, after the Taliban took control of most of the province, girls were not allowed to study and women were not allowed to work.
