Pakistan: Humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan must be prevented

The Pakistani military chief has said that the world should do more to help Afghanistan prevent a humanitarian crisis.

The Ofice of Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Army said that General Qamar Bajwa, Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Army, said in a telephone conversation with Kristin Turner, a British official, that a humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan should be prevented and the international community should do so. It should send more aid to Afghanistan.

“For regional peace and stability, it is essential that the international community help Afghanistan prevent a humanitarian crisis,” said Bajwa.

The statement added that the two sides discussed issues related to the interests of the two countries and the security situation in the region, including Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, the government of Pakistan has been repeatedly blamed by the Afghan people and the international community for the current situation in Afghanistan.

Recently, Amrullah Saleh, the Former Vice President of Afghanistan, claimed in a message that the Taliban were under the control of the Pakistani government.

But the Taliban have denied the allegations, saying the Pakistani government could not interfere in Afghanistan’s internal affairs.
