A Taliban official in Bamyan was killed in a clash between the group

Local sources in Bamyan province reported that the police chief of Saighan district was killed in an internal clash between the group.

According to the Kabul Sobh newspaper, the sources confirmed that Akhtar Mohammad Mansour, the police chief, and Maulvi Mansouri, the Taliban deputy police chief in the Sighan district of Bamyan, clashed with the group’s intelligence forces last night in the village of Khoda Khel in the district.

The sources added that the clash took place on charges of adultery, adding that Maulvi Mansouri, the group’s deputy police chief, was killed and Akhtar Mohammad Mansour, the district police chief, was arrested.

The victim was said to be a resident of Taleh and Barfak districts of Baghlan province.

However, a security source confirmed the incident but did not provide details.
