Breshna: Uzbek electricity imported to the country returned to normal

The Afghan Electricity Company announced that the technical problems that had arisen in Uzbekistan’s power plants had been resolved and that the country’s electricity imports to Afghanistan had returned to normal.

The company said in a statement that due to a technical problem with Uzbekistan’s coral-fired power plant, the country was facing a power shortage due to which electricity imports to Afghanistan were reduced.

According to the company, at 7 am today, imports from Uzbekistan to the country have returned to normal.

Two days ago, due to a technical problem with one of Uzbekistan’s power plants, the country’s electricity imports to Afghanistan fell by 60 percent.
