One person was assassinated in Baghlan by unknown individuals

Unidentified gunmen assassinated a man in the capital of Baghlan province today.

Sources in Baghlan province say that unidentified individuals assassinated Mehdi Wahidi, chairman of the People’s Council in the Sorkhotel district, in the sixth district of Pul-e-Khumri.

However, Mehdi Vahedi’s family claims that unknown individuals assassinated him in front of their house.

They say that Mehdi was 30 years old and he had three children and his wife.

The members of this family, emphasizing that Mehdi was not hostile to anyone, have called on the local officials of the Islamic Emirate to investigate the incident immediately.

However, although the Taliban claim that security has been secured throughout Afghanistan, the group has not yet been able to prevent targeted killings.
