Turkish Ambassador to Ashgabat: Turkmenistan has a similar view of Afghanistan to Turkey

The Turkish ambassador to Ashgabat said that Turkey and Turkmenistan have similar views on Afghanistan and that Ashgabat has never severed ties with that country.

“As far as we can see, Turkmenistan has a similar view on Afghanistan,” Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan Turgan Erval told a news conference yesterday.

According to him, despite the escalation of the crisis and rapid developments in Afghanistan, Turkmenistan has never stopped its relations with this country, and during this period, Turkmenistan has continued to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of this country and will continue in the future.

The Turkish diplomat added that Afghanistan is a country of special importance to both the region and Turkey, and that Ankara has supported Afghanistan for many years and worked on many problems in that country.

“Turkey has helped the Afghan people, especially in the areas of health, education and the economy,” he added. “Turkey is currently continuing its cooperation in the fields of education and health in Afghanistan.”

“Turkey is continuing its talks with the Taliban government,” Ural said, noting that the issue of Afghanistan could not be resolved by aid alone, and that all countries in the world should work together to help Afghanistan stand on its own two feet.

According to him, Turkmenistan has a similar view to Turkey and therefore tries to involve Afghanistan in economic projects, and this will make the country’s economy grow.
