Mojahedin: My interview with AFP has been misinterpreted

A Taliban spokesman said his remarks to the French news agency had been misinterpreted by some dissidents.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the deputy minister of information and culture and a Taliban spokesman, tweeted that his remarks in an interview with the French news agency had been misinterpreted.

He wrote that my interview with the French news agency about the government’s opponents and protesters had been misinterpreted by some biased people.

He added that, unfortunately, some media outlets misinterpret the true news due to a certain complexity, and start spreading propaganda and causing people anxiety.

A Taliban spokesman told French news agency yesterday that they had the right to “arrest and detain dissidents or those who violate the law.
