Thomas West: We do not have a specific version of creating an inclusive government in Afghanistan

The US Special Representative for Afghanistan says the United States has no plans to establish an inclusive government in Afghanistan.
Thomas West said in an iatervew with tolo news “In fact, my starting point for this debate with the Taliban is that neither the international community, nor the United States, nor any other country should insist on the Taliban that Certain figures from the previous government or certain figures from Afghanistan should be included in the prominent system of the future.”This is about me.”
“I think what we need to insist on is a real, meaningful process and nationwide consultation with Afghans across the country and voting with women leaders, tribal elders and local leaders to really determine the shape of the future system,” He added. How will it be? “So we do not have a specific version in mind.”
Mr. West added that the international community’s clear demand from the Taliban now is for the group to allow girls to return to school in the new school year.
