Imported electricity from Uzbekistan was reconnected to Afghanistan

Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy announces reconnection of electricity to Afghanistan.
A statement issued by the ministry said that Uzbekistan had resumed electricity supply to Afghanistan, which had been cut off on January 25 due to a major power outage.
A few days ago, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan were cut off due to major power outages in three Central Asian countries.
The cause of the disruption was said to be overloading of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz transit line.
However, as a result of the disruption, Uzbekistan cut off electricity to Afghanistan.
