An ethnic leader was killed in Faryab

Sources in Faryab say an ethnic leader has been killed in the province.

The sources say that this tribal elder named Nader Bai and say that he is a resident of Garziwan district of Faryab province.

They added that the tribal elder was killed on Friday in Gholbian village of the district by a man named Saifuddin, who is a member of the local government forces in the province.

However, the motive for the murder is still unknown. It is said that the person accused of the murder also fled the scene.

But Maulvi Shamsuddin, the province’s director of intelligence and culture, described the motive for the killing as personal enmity and said the man accused of the murder was being prosecuted.
