In a meeting with the head of the Turkish Red Crescent, Mottaki called for the expansion of trade relations with that country

The head of the Taliban’s foreign ministry met with the head of the Turkish Red Crescent Society and demanded that the country issue visas for Afghans.

Rumi Amir Khan Mottaqi, the acting foreign minister of the Taliban, met today with Karim Konik, head of the Turkish Red Crescent and vice president of the International Red Crescent Federation, and his accompanying delegation in Kabul.

During the meeting, the acting Taliban Foreign Minister called on Turkey to facilitate the issuance of visas for Afghan refugees, trainees, businessmen and people seeking medical treatment in Turkey.

Mottaki also said that the Afghan government is ready to provide the Turkish government and its businessmen with the opportunity to invest in Afghanistan in order to expand trade relations.

It is noteworthy that Turkey recently sent a train carrying 750 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.

According to Adel Kara Ismailoglu, the Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, the two trains with 47 wagons will carry about 750 tons of cargo, including basic necessities in the form of humanitarian aid, to Afghanistan after passing through Iran and Turkmenistan.
