Mottaqi: The United States did not comply with a number of Doha agreements

The acting Taliban’s foreign minister says the United States has not complied with a number of agreements reached with the group.

“The United States has not kept some of its promises,” Taliban acting foreign minister Amir Khan Mottaqi told Sputnik. For example, the agreement states that the prisoners of the Islamic Emirate will be released within a few days. “Unfortunately, this did not happen until we liberated them ourselves, after Kabul and other provinces came under our control.”

“The United States has promised to help rebuild Afghanistan and urges other nations to follow suit,” he said, adding that the US government had blacklisted official representatives of the new administration of Afghsnistan. “Instead, they imposed sanctions.”

However, he said, Taliban officials had kept their promise and would not allow the use of Afghan territory against the United States.
