Pakistan issued a permit for the passage of Indian auxiliary wheat trucks to Afghanistan

Pakistani government officials have said vehicles transporting Indian auxiliary wheat to Afghanistan via Pakistan can pass through free of charge.

Islamabad has instructed the country’s customs administration to carry out painless formalities on trucks carrying Indian aid to Afghanistan when passing through Pakistan.

According to the newspaper, the Pakistani government will allow 60 vehicles to transport Indian auxiliary wheat to Afghanistan to the Wagah border in Lahore and from there to Attari in India.

“According to the government’s decision, we will not receive any duties / taxes from Afghan officials for collecting wheat from India at the Attari border,” a senior Pakistani customs official told the newspaper.

Earlier, the Pakistani government did not allow the transfer of Indian auxiliary wheat to Afghanistan.
