The World Bank is releasing $ 600 million frozen assets of Afghanistan

The World Bank has announced plans to transfer $ 600 million of frozen Afghan money to Afghanistan.
The World Bank delegation is scheduled to review the proposal in March and make a final decision on how the funds will be repaid by donors from the Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund, Reuters reported.
The money is reportedly to be used by an international aid agency to address the economic crisis and education in Afghanistan.
The World Bank froze $ 1.5 billion in Afghan assets after the fall of the previous Afghan government.
So far, however, the bank has released $ 280 million of the frozen money back to Afghanistan for humanitarian purposes.
