Pakistan is concerned about the presence of terrorist groups in Afghanistan

Pakistan’s ambassador to Kabul says his country is deeply concerned about the presence of foreign terrorist groups in Afghanistan.
“The presence of ISIS and al-Qaeda in Afghanistan is a serious threat not only to Afghanistan but also to Pakistan and the region,” Mansour Ahmad Khan, Pakistan’s ambassador to Kabul, told TOLOnews.
Stressing that the Durand Line controversy has led to the growth of terrorist activities and the growth of these groups, he added: “The fencing began when terrorist activities peaked in recent years on the Afghan-Pakistani border. Fencing was the only way for Pakistan to address it. “Now that the new government has come to power and some events have taken place on this border, we are trying to reach a better understanding and cooperation with the officials of the new Afghan government on better interactions.”
According to the Pakistani ambassador in Kabul, one of the reasons for Pakistan’s deep ties with the Afghan government is that the two countries are in a relationship.
While Pakistan was considered a safe haven for terrorists during Afghanistan’s previous governments, it now claims the presence of terrorist groups in Afghanistan.
