Taliban Ministry of Education: The new school year will begin with the participation of girls and boys
Officials at the Taliban Ministry of Education say girls and boys will attend classes in the new school year.
Aziz Ahmad Ryan, a spokesman for the ministry, told the Bakhtar state news agency that the upcoming school year would begin with male and female students.
He said that without any changes in the education system, the same education system will be used for the convenience of students, adding that changes in the curriculum of the Ministry of Education are likely to take place in the coming years.
On the other hand, officials of the Taliban Ministry of Education have said that to solve the problem of book shortage in schools, about 7 million printed books were transferred from Dubai to Kabul last month and schools were distributed.
However, after the Taliban took control of most of the country’s provinces, girls above grade 7 were not allowed to attend school despite internal and external pressures.
