The United Nations provided $ 20 million in emergency aid to Ukraine

The UN Secretary-General says $ 20 million in emergency aid has been provided to Ukrainian citizens exposed to Russian attacks.
“$ 20 million will be allocated from the Immediate Intervention Fund without delay to meet the urgent needs of the Ukrainian people,” UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told reporters yesterday.
“In the territories under Ukrainian rule, we are witnessing Russian military operations at a level unprecedented in Europe over the last ten years,” he added. “Protection of civilians must be a priority.”
Stressing that Russia’s military operation in Ukraine was wrong, Guterres read out the text of the UN Charter, which states that all UN member states in international relations should not resort to coercion or any threat to their territorial integrity. Or they will avoid state political independence and behavior contrary to UN goals.
According to the UN Secretary General, the decisions that will be made in the coming days will shape the world system and will directly affect the lives of millions of people. It is not too late to save this generation from the scourge of war.
