A 40-bed health center was opened for the treatment of tuberculosis patients in Kunduz

The Taliban’s public health department in Kunduz has announced that a 40-bed health center has been set up to treat patients with tuberculosis at the province’s hospital.

According to the department, the center used to be used to treat Covid-19 patients, but is now dedicated to treating patients with tuberculosis.

Earlier, the previous government’s public health officials had announced that about 60,000 people in Afghanistan were diagnosed with tuberculosis each year, and that 14,000 died annually in the country.

The officials also said that out of about 60,000 people who get tuberculosis annually, about 37,000 are being treated.
